New Contract Award: Southern Water Packaged UV Systems
Lintott Control Systems Limited is delighted to announce that it has been appointed as the sole framework partner to Southern Water for the supply of packaged plant UV (Ultraviolet) systems. UV water treatment is a disinfection method that exposes microorganisms (such as cryptosporidium) to UV radiation to kill or inactivate them.
This achievement builds on Lintott’s success delivering systems & providing a reactive & planned maintenance provision to Severn Trent Water. Overall, Lintott supplied 30 units. As a direct result of collaboration with supply chain partners & Lintott’s pioneering approach to productisation, the delivery programme was reduced by some 16 months! Building on this further still, in 2017, Lintott was awarded a contract to supply multiple UV systems to Anglian Water.
Alan Carpenter, from Lintott’s Sales & Tendering function, led the bid for the provision of package plant. On receiving confirmation of the single agreement award Alan commented; “Lintott has supplied Southern Water with packaged chemical dosing systems since 2010. We’re absolutely thrilled to widen our scope to include package plant for UV reactors.” “Lintott will be designing & building 17 systems during the remainder of this & the subsequent capital expenditure cycle – through to 2025”.
Southern Water is one of the UK’s leading providers of water & wastewater provision servicing Kent, Sussex, Hampshire & the Isle of Wight.
