The Value of a One-Stop-Shop

Lintott is currently engaged by Scottish Water’s Delivery Partner, ESD, to undertake the design, build, installation & commissioning of a large scheme as part of Scottish Water’s current upgrade to its Whitehillocks WTW (situated near to Auchronie, Angus).  The total order value equates to £2.45M & encompasses several of Lintott’s products & inhouse capabilities (namely Electrical Control Systems, Systems Integration & Chemical Dosing Systems). This personifies the adage & value of a ‘one-stop-shop’; especially for a complex solution.  Added to this, client benefits associated with factory built products (such as modular design & reduced construction works & time).

Each factory built assembly has been fully 3D-modelled, which extends to: Bulk Storage Tanks; Dosing Plant; Remote Fill-points & Panels; Dosing Lines; ‘Point-of-Application’ Catch-Pots; Safety Showers; & Access Platforms. The Systems Integration content includes: Migration Strategy from old system to new (including the dual redundancy of the two systems); Pre & post Harmonic Surveys; Profibus Communications Testing; End-to-End Testing; Site-Shutdown Uninterruptible Power Supply; Network Design; & Process Software.  The Control System content encompasses: Mains Switchboard; Backwash MCC; Service Water Booster Local Control Panel; Air Scour Blowers System Motor Control Centre; Sludge Treatment Instrumental Control & Automation Section; Orthophosphoric Acid Local Control Panel; & Hypochlorite Local Control Panel.
