Lintott History

We were originally formed in 1980 under the name of Lintott Control Equipment Ltd which was the amalgamation of a management buyout of the electrical division of Ashlow Steel, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bridon PLC, with a small portion of the electronics business of Lintott Engineering Ltd, a company founded in Horsham with roots over 130 years old.

Upon formation, the Company designed, manufactured, and commissioned Electrical Control Equipment, predominantly for the Steel industry.  Between 1980 and 1995, we expanded our markets to include Water, Oil & Gas and Process industries and expanded our technical offerings to include Hydraulic Control Systems.

In April 1995 we were acquired by Wormald Ansul (UK) Ltd, a part of the worldwide organisation Tyco International Inc.

From 1998 to 2002, Wormald acquired several other businesses and underwent several restructures resulting in our trading style change to Tyco Control Systems.

In 1999, the Chemical Dosing Systems business of Sensors & Systems was acquired and amalgamated with Tyco Control Systems.

On the 30th December 2005 the Company underwent a management buyout, whereby Lintott Control Systems Ltd. acquired the stock, assets and right to succeed to the business of Tyco Control Systems trading from Norwich and Wakefield.
